Hundreds of leaders and activists of Bharatiya Janata Party,Jammu & Kashmir gathered at Jammu Airport to receive Member of Parliamentfrom Jammu-Udhampur Lok Sabha Constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma, when the tallleader paid his first visit to the city of temples after the controversial Article 370 was scrapped on the popular demand.

BJP State President Ravinder Raina along with other seniorleaders and jubiliant party workers of the state welcomed Jugal Kishore Sharmaat the party headquarter. Former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, former Minister SatSharma, State Vice-President Rajeev Charak, Chander Prakash Ganga, Dr. DKManyal, Sukhnandan Choudhary, former MLA Rajesh Gupta, former MLC VikramRandhawa and other senior leaders were also present. Party leaders andactivists were seen dancing on the tunes of the traditional Dhol anddistributing sweets among themselves to express their extreme happiness overthe decision to remove infamous Article.

Ravinder Raina, while addressing the party leaders andworkers in a programme organized at the party headquarter, said that with thestrong and clear political will, we have undone the injustice. He said that thecontroversial Article prevented lakh of people from attaining their due rightsand communities like women section, Refugees, Gujjar Bakkarwals, Valmiki Samaajand scores of others suffered for seven decades due to the act. He said thatCongress had majority in the Lok Sabha in the poast, but it was neverinterested to remove the injustice as it was one of the front runner agency tobe blamed for the misfortune. But now ultimately the justice has prevailed andPrime Minister Narendra Modi and home Minister Amit Shah has gifted way topeace and development to all of us and now it is our turn to take the taskforward to progress the state on most modern lines, as we also take thisopportunity to congratulate our MP Jugal Kishore Sharma for his role in theParliament in the scrapping of the said Article.Jugal Kishore Sharma, whileaddressing the jubilant party workers, blamed Congress for all the misdeedsthat have been done to the J&K in the past. He said that former PrimeMinister Jawahar Lal Nehru in deep friendship with former CM Sheikh Abdullahconducted scores of such decisions that proved suicidal for the development andpeace in the state. The ill willed decisions of Pt. Nehru of Sheikh resulted inthe birth of separatism, terrorism and PoJK and we today also strongly resolvethat we will take back, what was rightfully ours. He maintained that manypersons laid down their lives for the abrogation of the Article 370 and wededicate this day to their ultimate sacrifices. I believe myself to be luckyenough that I got a chance to vote for the abrogation of Article 370 and thankpeople of Jammu-Poonch as they gave me this power with their votes, ecstaticJugal added.

Earlier, Jugal Kishore Sharma also paid tributes to ShyamaPrassad Mukherjee and Pt. Prem Nath Dogra in the party headquarter.
